Getting the Wheeling Fever

I was looking under the bed of those new Tundra's and the rear axle looks exactly like an eight inch 3rd member and all, except it looked bigger. Are they bigge,r if so how much and how much stronger. Also what would it take to put one a mini.

1985 yota 22RJasper motor w/ cam,webber carb.Marlin histeer & 4"springs, AllPro jonny jointshackles. Bds yj springs upfront. Bilstein 5150's all around. 4.88 yukon gears,detroit locker and truetrac. Fj80 Master cylinder, 33" MTR's
