Also - could a poor carb tune be the reason im only getting 12 mpg - 220 kms (130 miles) to the tank? its lifted 7 inches on 33s.

If you're running stock gears with those 33's and lifted for drag, you're makin' that little mill work pretty hard actually. Regearing is the most effective mod for your buck if you want to keep your current configuration.
