Do your trucks have this bracket, too? What is it for? I wonder if it anchors a back seat which my truck lacks? How have you removed yours? Thank you! ![[Linked Image]](http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee205/long-haul/042.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/ee205/long-haul/041.jpg)

There would've been a small, and I mean SMALL board for a bench back there. My '87 xcab has one.

I wonder, what is the best way to remove it w/o cutting & grinding it out?

Ya might have to grind it off or simply flatten it.

Thats the bracket that holds the factory bottle jack. If you don't want it then you will need to cut it off.

>>squint<< Yeah, Scerb's right; gads. If you still have the jack, I believe you can get the hold down piece from a junkyard or for a few bucks at the dealer. That's something you don't want to have flying around in the cab.

That's cuz if you're like me this far north, you've got the back fully CRAMMED.
We picked up a rollover a few winters ago; I think the guy was headed up to Eagle. His full sized Bronco was so completely crammed with stuff that NOTHING shifted. Went over quite an embankment too.

Don't have to cut it if you've got a BFH.
