If you are energetic and young, you don't need a lot of cash, better have a well equipped shop though, and plenty of time, you'll be doing some cutting and welding too. I spent hundreds of hours which probably cost me my first marriage swapping diesel to gasser. It is no small undertaking. I saw an neat Canadian site http://www.canev.com/Jeep.html where they do EV from fossil fuel conversions and had a few diesel engines left over so they installed them in gassers.
