Just went over to Planetisuzoo. No offense to anyone who may be affiliated but it seems second rate compared to what we got here. Why on earth would people defect? Is there something there I am missing?

well... you obviously missed:

the conversation
the population
the humour
the freedom of speech
the common interest
the community
the varied levels of build and skill
the varied vehicles
the geographic diversity (more than just USA)

just to name a few.....
(in other words, give it another look...)

Well, I'm new here and new to Troopers. I am a little surprised by the lack of current participation. I use binderbulletin.org and pirate quite a bit and there is a lot more activity there. Checked out planetisuzoo and it appears there is more activity there.

I am starting a new thread here and there regarding "purchasing a new 99 Trooper" and looking for advice on building it up for use off road. Hope to get some good feedback before I pull the trigger. It seems the Trooper is a good platform for building on.

Looking forward to a fun time in Trooper land!!

My biggest complaint about this place is that Michael Clark has an awesome P'up, but refuses to wheel it anymore

Well, life has been a bit busy the past few years. You are more than welcome to venture this way at any time. In fact, if our weather keeps up, there should be some good snow wheeling soon...

Michael

Hell yeah Michael I'd love to come up to your neck of the woods. Kary's almost done with his Monty repairs and Karl is rockin' a 3rd gen 'Runner so we could muster a pretty good group.

I posted twice recently for the first time in a while. still check out the thread topics somewhat regularly, but don't really have the need to start any since I already know everything.

honestly though, I'm a 2.6 guy and not much content on them and whenever the lack of power issue comes up it's the same old 'swap it or deal with it' mentality.

like others have mentioned, life happens and things get hectic - myself included. but my Troop sees regular action on all fronts, maybe one day I can coax someone else to come along and shoot flattering pics of flexing across a wash or some ridge crawling. or doing top heavy swaybar-less smokey burnout drifts in an empty parking lot.

since the old girl has been so reliable lately my Isuzu wrench time has been dedicated to a turbo'd rwd sport coupe variety. but 4Z tech is 4Z tech and sooner or later I'll have some universal meat and potatoes type stuff to share.

imo none of the other boards hold a candle to this one

All things in...

This community - and other communities -- is what you make it.

If you want more content, then start threads on your interests and/or activities, and respond to other threads. Simple enough.

I've been busy with increased responsibilities at my day job, efforts to defend and advance motorized recreation, and some occasional (gasp!) wheeling. That hasn't landed me frequently on the 'Wire, but that's a cyclical thing.

I'm not trying to be an a$$. The question was asked, I happen to know a rather large amnount of the folks who don't frequent here anymore. It's been talked about before around camp fires and such. It has nothing to do with wanting more content or what we do with the community, it has to do with the sometimes nazi moderation of posts.

What happened? Hunting season.

I enjoyed locking my Aisin's last weekend on a logging road in the Davy Crockett Natl' Forest to get to a good deer hunting area. Bucket Trooper looked nice with some mud on it.
