All the noise of plastic parts in the cab is one of the things that annoy me about my truck.
I had to remove all the dash parts from the pad down so that only the cluster, heater controls and top half of the dash remain in order to get my radio fixed.

Driving around without all that stuff, I was surprised at how tight the truck sounds without that stuff in there rattling around. No noise at all.
So I'm going to replace the plastic butterfly parts with some actual cage nuts or tinnerman clips to se if I can tighten up the dash.

Anyone tried anything like this?

I replaced the blonde with a brunette and lost at least 10 db.

I never had any problems except a noisy speedo cable. I turned up the radio. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/notooth.gif" alt="" />

Eliminated the brunette yesterday, did not replace. Down to 56db now! Maybe I can pass the truck off to a blind guy as a Lexus?? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />
