thats normal, those glowplugs suck alot of juice. well I don't know if its normal but mine does the same thing haha. my afterglow system doesn't always turn on, sometimes I have to shut it off and re-start it for it to work.

my turbo timer has a digital volt-gauge on it aswell so I see it changing all the time, the rear defroster sure sucks alot of juice.

here is a question...why do all these rhd japanese vehicles have crappy rear defrosts with no timers...I have left mine on for days before noticing the light was on. my friends lancer GSR is the same thing, takes forever to melt the ice and has no timer on it
