Hey all... I was looking at a 6" inch Skyjacker suspension kit with a 1" inch body. I was wondering if i should put 35s or 37s on my jeep with that lift. If i put 37s do i have to change gear ratio? Also, what do i need besides the kit and shocks. Thanks

You came on with same question I came on with. Your looking for the same thing I have minus the chip.Iv'e gone with 35" x12.5" mickey thompsons, 6" ruff country suspension, two warn bumpers, a warn winch, and added a k+n intake with cone filter. The things that came awry so far, the wheel base is short so your going to need a yoke slip eliminator (SYE) and the assembly that needs to come with it, but it don't. If you have stock axles you should look for at least a Dana 44 for the rear.(depending on what your doing with your jeep mudding, climbing, etc.) That's just my start, I'm about four weeks in and a lot of money more. But It looks and drives cool as it gets. For now. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the info man. What about a new track bar? Mine broke so i bought one for up to a 4inch lift. Does that mean i need another one to support the new lift?

I don't think it is a MUST, but if it is for UP TO a 4" lift your axle will sit off to the side a bit.
Is the one you bought adjustable?

thanks for everyones help. I got one more question though. If i got 37's then i know i have to adjust a lot more things then if i were to get 35's. Would it be worth it?

You're prolly looking at the same mods for 37's as you would be for 35's or even 33's if you want to do it right. 33's you can get away with not putting in a SYE or changing out the gears, but eventually you'll want to. The stock axle will handle the 33's if you're not on rocks and don't put a locker in...bigger and chances of breakage keep going up.

I wanted clearance, with the parts I've installed it's bean nothing but parts. When I get done with the SYE, assembly and traction bar. It will be gears, with out them when I fart I'll slow a bit. Although it is fine for the street. I'm going to go with a 4:11 or 4:27 rack and pinion. Then if the gods are cool to me, I can afford the Dana 44 in the rear. By then I should be satisfied for a little bit. Lots of plans but don't plan on going prof., just having fun.

I assume you meant "ring and pinion", not "rack and pinion"? Been a while since I've seen a 4.11 ratio on a steering system. (g)
