That looks nice. I just welded my 2" square stock onto a piece of 3/8" plate with 4 holes in it. Works great and I get to keep my step. I have a piece of 3/8" angle iron with a hole drilled it it on each side for the safety chains.

You used the 4 holes on the Pajero receiver that exist?
You took a plate of 3/8 steel and welded a 2" receiver stock to it?
Than you drilled 4 holes in that plate and used Pajero bolts to attach plate/receiver to stock holes on Pajero?

If i understand that correctly and it holds the weight no problem, that is brilliant, easy and quick to do!
We did not get it done last night but we are doing it today.
