I found this:

the dirty little secret is that
the 3.0 in about 60 million minivans is
almost identical. You have to change the front
oil passages, drill the dipstick hole on the
opposite side of the block, and use the Montero
bracketry and such, but otherwise, same motor.
Even all the roller cams seem to be the same.

What do they mean about changing the front oil passages?
And what year engines will work ?
