little bit more today .. I was able to cut the 4Runner bar to the correct height ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/043.jpg) and test fit ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/044.jpg) also made up the base plates . ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/045.jpg) conserned about mounting the fiberglass tub to the frame and possably creating water leaks or even stress cracks i have decided to make a "flexable" mount . Poly performance makes a kit for this (thanks for the link Robb) http://www.polyperformance.com/shop/Cage-Tie-In-Kit-p-433.html![[Linked Image]](http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o159/ocdropzone/cage/PPM-CAGEKIT.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o159/ocdropzone/cage/d_591-01.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o159/ocdropzone/cage/d_592-01.jpg) but of course I will be making my own .

so .. my version .. ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/046.jpg) just now will need to weld the "feet" to the roll bar and then the frame supports .

So Corey I'm curious about something. Given how much you have custom-fabbed thus far - why mess w/ a stock 4Runner rollbar, which you had to modify anyway, rather than making your own cooler/stronger one that may be a little less instrusive in that space?
With 200+ Billion electrical parts, the world most complicated machine is inside your own skull.

Awesome work, Corey! Haven't checked in for a while so it's great to see what you've done. Can't wait to see the Trekker on the road.

Given how much you have custom-fabbed thus far - why mess w/ a stock 4Runner rollbar, which you had to modify anyway, rather than making your own cooler/stronger one that may be a little less instrusive in that space? so .. as we know .. the Trekker was the "proto type" vehicle for the 4Runner .. i'm trying to stay somewhat true to that , but with more emphasis , as we now have actual used 4Runner pieces to use . building one would be easier , but I actually want you to be able to look at it , and say .. "thats a 4Runner roll bar " hope that makes sence ? Awesome work, Corey! Haven't checked in for a while so it's great to see what you've done. Can't wait to see the Trekker on the road. thanks bud .. got your email while I was on holidays .. I will try to answer asap .

been going threw withdrawls not being able to work on my Trekker , so I have been going back after the shop has closed , to get some work done ... so working on the rear tub as well , I "attached" a 2x4 to the outside to level the mounting flange (substraight) ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/Picture060.jpg) re-glassed-- adding 2 layers of 24oz woven roving + 5 layers of 1.5oz mat .. basically , this will make it stronger then the original steel that was in there + it should last and not rust out like the stock one ! ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/Picture061.jpg) 2x4 substraight removed and flange trimed ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/IM001719.jpg) and now the sides and topper back on for body line adjustment ... OMG sometimes I even amaze me .. it's perfect and need NO adjustment .. i'm super happy with it .... ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/IM001720.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j2/bj_bumperboy/MY%20Trekker/IM001721.jpg) .
