To answer the first part of your question second... Most winches come with just the winch and cable some mounting bolts and a fairlead. You can buy a mount that will plug into a receiver hitch so its removable. Or if you're going custom you could buy just a mounting plate with predrilled mounting holes. Then its up to you to get the mounting plate attached to something. Before you buy anthing I would talk to whoever it is that you are considering to do custom work. Then you'll have a ballpark pricerange to work with. At that point you may be in the price neighborhood of a winch bumper and have a decision to make. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
