This rig, as it's my wife's (no, really), won't see more then a 2" lift. I've been meaning to ask, why are manual hubs recommended for taller lifts?

The main advantage of the manual hubs is that they are looking totally cool. Besides that, with the manual hubs, you can disengage them when on the paved road, and the CVs will not be turning. It will prolong their life and save you a little fuel. But as I sad it before, this is not a big deal, I was running stocks hubs with 3.5" lift without problems. On my new Axiom, I lowered the front diff to get the CVs angle smaller, but the angle is still steep. I am running the stock hubs and they are OK.

Yup, I've got the 3.5L DI. I'm told it's a Toyota variant. Friction modifiers... That's fine, but I need to top it off, and I don't want to use Isuzu, I'm the only stuff in the world, ATF. I guess I'm just the type that can't leave it alone, but there's got to be another product that will do in that tranny.

I do not know... I have only 16K on my tranny and I've not needed to top it off yet. I guess it is safe to top it off with some good synthetic Dexron III ATF, but I am not sure. Why not try to order it through the Isuzu channels ?

BTW, They've had to replace my Cat. It was gummed up with carbon. Heh. I could have guessed that, with this vehicle's history of carbon issues.

I am using the gas system cleaners often (like every couple thousands miles). So far, everything has been clean.
