I searched the Internet on the words "slip control system" and "ATF" and "AT" and "Aisin". Not surprisingly, I found that there are lots of efforts to improve the functionality of the modern ATs. Some patents are issued. The companies are working actively on the improvements. The new Aisin AT is obviously the result of these efforts. But what is weird is that the non-standard ATFs are necessary for the new transmissions. May be, they made some design mistakes, and only later, when vehicles are in production, they realized that they need a special treatment for their transmission. I do not know, why anybody would want a custom ATF for the transmission.
