Well, the fuel injectors are spliced into the harness; these commonly fail on the older trucks. We recommend removing the butt connectors and soldering them for a repair.

About the only way to see the spray pattern is to pull it and ops check it per the FSM.

Tip: O-rings are wetted with FUEL, not anything else- for reinstalling.
