Need a Spot

I'm researching putting a diesel Hilux powerplant in my 2.7 5 speed 4X4 Tacoma. Does anyone have any info on which transmissions were used in which vehicles so I know what will bolt up? I'd like to keep the stock trans if I can. I'm looking for transmission ID codes with coresponding years. There isn't too much info on later model swaps and codes. Any good links?
