Crack yer windows about a 1/2" and leave the coffee home (steam). Works up here anyway.

I will probably replace it later on. I live in Arizona so it's only winter for like 3 months and I wont need it again 4 a while, plus it's not usually my dd but my Z71 is in the shop right now. I only really need it when it's realy cold or when it rains and thats not that often here plus I cant have the truck down because I need to get to work. figured I would get a quik fix now and when I get my other truck back then I can replace the heater core.I hear it's a real pain to do

That'll work. Folks with small children up here use them to bump up the heat a bit for their kids when the mercury plunges.
Don't set yer rig on fire; they've done that too.

Don't set yer rig on fire; they've done that too No doubt, that thing's gonna pull ~13-15 amps whenever it's running. I'd be inclined to wire it via a fuse direct to the battery using 12 gauge wire. It'll probably work better that way too. Dave

You realize that costs more than a heater core does? That truck is easy to replace the heater core on.
