Getting the Wheeling Fever
Aparently the reason why there is anti-freeze all over the cab floor of my 1980 22r pickup is due to a broken heater core. Where can I find a replacement? anyone have a spare they dont need?

Considering the amount of work involved in getting *to* a heater core, I'd have to be dead broke to consider putting in a used one....

I think he means on a truck WITH an interior.
Yours is somewhat lacking of one.
Anyone know if a 84-88 HC will fit in an 80'?

You really should just but a rusted out parts truck with good mechanical parts.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
hey there - let me tear apart the heater to see ifthats my problem - my thoughts are that it is - i have a puddle of anti freeze on my cab floor!

On a side note - i need to basically get all new dash pieces for my truck - my sie vents (front of dash, far left and far right sides) are not hooked up to the heat and when the truck is moving blow cold air into the truck - are these suppsoed to be heating vents?

Thanks for your help, its much appreciated,

cheers,

Dave <- owner of a truck 28 years old, and 20 years older then me.

If they're like my '83 and on top of the dash, and next to the front corners of the window, they're supposed to be your defrost vents. Listen when you move your control switch around to see if you can hear the flaps move. Sometimes the cabling or the plastic tabs for the control head fail. Just remember she's an old Bessie. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
