It is a little late for you now, but a speed bleeder makes bleeding a clutch nearly painless. I did mine this week after re-installing the tranny in less than 3 minutes, literally.

For those who are not familiar with speed bleeders, they come from a variety of suppliers and are bleeder valves with a check ball. You open the bleeder, attach a drain tube, and depress the clutch about three times, refill the reservoir, and repeat about 3-4 times. Job done. No need to continually open and close the bleeder.

I also have speed bleeders on all of my brakes. They make the job of bleeding brakes so painless that I flush the system yearly.
