As for your SAS aspirations, there is someone who's done it on a sport before out of Co. His name was Ed IIRC but don't recall the rest of his details of the top of my head but I'm sure someone will. He spent a tremendous amount having a shop build it up for him. In fact much more than most could stomach here.

All of my shop-work was done at the same shop. They are expensive, but know their stuff and do very high-quality work.

If you want to get in touch with Edward Shepard regarding the SAS he did on his Sport, his phone number is at the bottom of this page.

I've had a couple conversations with him. He's stuck on the ford radius arm set up and didnt seem to like any of my ideas. I like his truck but im certain the entire thing can be done for half the cost. He stated to me numerous times that he hauls important equipment in his vehicle and various other reasons that he needs to have it riding like it's stock. I personally dont care if my truck is a little rough around the edges, hell i daily drive it with a welded rear diff.

Seems like a nice guy, just seemed a little arrogant. Then again he is a mitsu guy and for some reason or another we seem to be a little like that. smile

Dang man. If my truck had a factory locker option, I'd sure as heck be getting one before I drove a welded rear.

I would have if i planned to stick with the stock mitsu axle. While our rear axles are pretty nice, the options for gearing suck a fat one. I'll have to go with a more common axle to get the gearing i need so welding this one up was 2 hours of work and awesome gains.

But on a side note, driving it every day without sway bars and with a welded rear diff is not uncomfortable at all. i've had women and friends comment on how smooth my truck rides. I'm state certified in suspension and steering so i keep up on the TRE's, ball joints, idler arm, tire rotation, and bearings in the system as well as maintain proper lubrication. Welding the rear diff was the best upgrade i made for this mostly stock open diffed POS smile A factory locker would have cost money and time to find and obtain, while it would be nice, i can do without.

Ed was ok. Just had a case of NIH. Had first class work done.

AM, you aquitted yourself nicely on Pirate. Truth be known, Mitsu owners don't HAVE to know how to do the stuff they wanted to see, because Mitsu's start out more capable out of the box than a by Gawd Gee Em K10 pick em up truck. I own a K5 87 Blazer. It has about as much torsional frame rigidity as you'd expect if the frame was made of balsa wood. It actually does better off road in 2wd than it does in 4wd. It was built like crap. It's sole virtue is that every auto parts and 4wd catalog has stuff for it in stock raht now, and if you break down in Soddy Daisy, TN, some yokel there knows how to fix it, because there's been lots of practice available.

I've also always had an aversion to "in groups". I find them full of people who are so unsure that they actually have any real worth that they must be part of an exclusionary group to have the illusion of worth. Such are rarely worth my time. They bore me. And I find their opinions to mostly be beneath noticing.

I think you are going to fit in here just fine. Welcome. You stupid $hit....
