You'll like your D44 in the front. For the rear, I'd keep what you have till it breaks. Heck 4.56's is all you need right!?

I hope to god that was sarcasm smile

minimum of 5.18's for me thanks.

32 in tires with 4.63 gears or whatever is bad enough, i dont even want to think about what 35's would be like with these gears. stock rear is beefy but so very limited on gearing I'll be selling my welded 3rd member once i swap out axles, maybe we can get a spare one floating around so people can buy up the spare, weld it and swap it in then sell their open one. just a thought.

Welcome! i also saw your post on Pirate, i was going to post up but then i saw the other post on the offtopic section.

i think it's a great idea to SAS the front of you're truck and i also recommend a ford link setup. as for swapping in a d44 in the rear that is kind of a downgrade in my opinion, i wouldn't run a weaker axle just for lower ratios. I run 35's with 4.90's and my 3.5 moves my truck fine, you have the 3.0 so i guess it could be different for you but i'm pretty sure you can get 5.29's for that axle which would be cheaper, stronger and less work than swapping in a d44 out back. Even if you kept 4.63's in your truck and spent your money on a t-case that would help out more offroad than lower axle gears because 4.63 with a
good low range it wouldn't matter what ratios you're running
here's some t-case options for your truck
