I suspect that there is a whole nuther world out there where rust is not a problem? But that would make life too easy. Bob

Ah, right Sparkem. Even so, I'd hit the little ones too. They'd break faster if stuck on with rust. Yeah, the little ones. I dont like those. A few of mine got stuck. Then stripped, the broke one on purpose because it was not coming out otherwise. I want some Aisins.
I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

Indeed a wise choice. Superwinch hubs are okay, but the Aisin hubs are both more beefy and all the bolts are worry-free. No funky, fancy, tiny, little allen-head bolts to hold the cap on. They just use regular ol' 10MM hex-head bolts. Piece o' cake. I know they're hard to find, so if I find some I'll post 'em up here for-sale. Then (to borrow Les' picture) let the frenzy begin! ![[Linked Image]](http://www.fivethirty.com/images/vultures.jpg)

The little bolts have never been a problem for me. Insert hex socket and cheap extension. Smack with BFH. Repeat. Repeat. Insert ratchet and remove. If still stuck, grap air hammer with blunt end punch bit and D-D-D-D-D-D-D the housing beside the bolt while you torque it loose

True. I never really had too much trouble with the little bolts on my Superwinch hubs when I had them installed, but the relative bolts on the Aisin hubs are NO (read none, nada, zip) trouble whatsoever. They couldn't be any simpler or more headache-free. I have seen others strip-out the heads of their hex-bolts on their Superwinch hubs. Biggest reason I can think of is that they tightened them too much when installing.
