Anyone had to replace a tailgate? I just destroyed mine and need to find another one. Nothing in the boneyards around here.

Thanks guys. No luck at TAP.

I hadn't seen the car-parts site before. I checked VA and SC too. I requested several quotes. Maybe I'll get lucky.

Here's my TG lying under my truck... saving it for parts if need be. This came from idling back in reverse and was closer to a tree than I thought. Every shop says it's a throw away.. not repairable.

TAP has a crappy rep, and has for quite awhile.

At this point, you're probably better off just going to the dealer and ordering the sheet metal and moving your old hardware over. I've been down this road; it's the most effective means of getting it taken care of.

Yeah, don't toss that gate-- that's a couple hundred in hardware parts these days.

Know any good sources for the appliquÚ? I don't believe they're available from Toyota anymore.

No big deal if I can't replace that T100/SR5 stuff anyway.

You mean stickers and all that? Take a photograph and have a good body shop make 'em up for you. Do a one-stop and have them shoot the paint and do the finish work eh? Get in the Yella Pages.
