You can swap at least an 85 and later manual block to either the KM145 5spd or the KM148 a/t from the 87 and later models.

If the donor a/t was a 3spd a/t truck, I think it has the funky old bellhousing, but I've never tried to swap that block. That tranny was a Mopar torqueflite, I think. Last used in 86 in the monty, dunno the pickup.
