She should be able to run Fins 'n Things with a stock Amigo, right?

Yeah, when I did it last year I went with a bunch of VX's and some of those were stock. I was mostly stock, 3" lift but the same 30" tires I'm still running for now. A trailer hitch might be a good idea to protect the rear bumper on the steep parts though, dont know how much better the depart angle is on an amigo. I abused mine though. I even did strike ravine though I would recommend at least a lift before doing that.

I have been communicating with the proprietor of Pack Creek CCampground (Ron), and mentioned that a bunch of Isuzu folks may be calling for reservations. He wrote back:

my fiancee just bought a 1998 Isuzu Amigo and loves
it! Any hints? She's a newbie to off-road driving. With luck, maybe she can tag along on one of your less-challenging trails?

Think we can help her out? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

We have been staying at Pack Creek during EJS for about 15 years. I will most likely be leaving my motorhome there between EJS and 'ZoZoo this year. If you want me to shore things up with Ron, I will need to know how many and what type of sites you want(tent or pull through)and discuss details with him next month in person. FYI Ron does not have cabins and that is why we have not been there since 'ZoZoo 2. Ron failed to mention he was getting married when he called the other day.

I know when I talked to Ron he didn't think they would be sold out or anything during that time frame...whether enough Isuzu people will show up to do so is unknown...I know a lot of the VXers are going to Portal, so that takes a lot of people out of the picture.

Need a Spot
I have got reservations at Red Stone Inn. Wife will be 8+ months preggers so no way am I camping <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Close in town, nice place, etc
SO if the decided place is where we had Zuzoo II then someone else will have to mow <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/pfft.gif" alt="" />
(I did like that spot. Shady, little creek, nice even if over grown w/grass)

When are people planning on getting there? Right now I am planning on the 12th until 19th.

Just cause your staying in a motel doesn't mean you can't mow <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I have a first generation Trooper I'd like to try on some trails. Do you think it would be capable?

Buy a Trooper. You'll be glad you did.

Dear Craig,

A first gen trooper is a very capable trail rig. About the only limitation will be the skill and experience of the driver. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Depends. Aren't you the guy that rolled a Trooper in your driveway? <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/nana.gif" alt="" />

That was different. The sun got in my eyes. I was distracted. Something was wrong with the vehicle. I must have encountered some dark energy. You can't prove it.

The Trooper I'm bringing this year has never been to Moab before. If it weren't such a long road trip I'd probably bring the Tatra 805 or the Sugga, but 900 miles each way with $3/gallon gasoline disuades me.

More like $3.70 a gallon along the highways. I just came from there.
