Well, could be because the general consensus say "Don`t do it" That`s why I thought I`d ask! As far as what strawmyers said, I did all that and still could not get the two freed. I understand the whole adjustment part of it. I was wondering if anyone has first hand knowledge on how the adjustment screw actually affects the gearbox. BTW, the"general consensus" were two autoparts store guys and two mechanics. None of which could tell me exactly why they wouldn`t do it, other than because of the complexity of it all. Worthy question I thought. Most of us here believe in making smart decisions when it comes to our rides!
