Seems also to me that the right to work states don't necessarily have to follow min wage either. That would suck if you can't keep your tips, esp with the original poster's wife being in the services industry.

When I went down to Idaho to bury my granddad a couple years back, spoke to a guy who was making $4/hr running a small cafe. Had been looking for other work for 3 years.

Lots of info on 'right to work'; here's one link. I also found there are some RTW states that have done some recent changes that'll be going into effect as of the new year.
