Ok thanks guys I got it to work.

I put the HDD and CD on the Prim IDE cable. I think the Sec IDE is bad, but I haven't verified it yet.

After several tries, XP finally installed.

and that is where I'm at.

Tonight I'll verify the 2nd IDE. If it is good, I'll move the CD to it. Then I'll have to check the USB, Audio etc.
Then I'll connect to the internet and re-register this copy of XP install SP2.

This is just a 2nd/kids computer. Mostly for the internet and a place to install scavanged parts <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/drunk.gif" alt="" />

With nothing running on it, it should be pretty fast for surfing P4 2.4 w/1g ram running XP.
