a frend of mine blew up his.... cracked baddly..
Any ideas exept a new ( used ) engine?????

a KIA head alone can't be found...
I was wondering if anybody haw any experience fitting maybe a Mazda alternative...

I have seen some complete Sportage engines on Ebay for cheap.

If you don't mind a little work, just drop a newer engine and ECU in there! The SOHC engine sucks anyway.

Its all about money my friend....
the "damage" to replace with a used same engine is 1200 euros only the engine + more or less 300 eurow for swapping..
imagine to convert it to DOHC....
for a car that in good condition used you can find it at 5.500 euros top...

I will ask my boy if he knows of anything from Mazda, He knows quite a bit about Mazdas and the FE block, more abuut the DOHC but I have head him say something about a B2000 SOHC being the same head as the Kia.
