I know a few of you guys have done a 3.4 swap into the older Yotas, so maybe you can help me. Instead, I swapped over a 1980 body onto a 2002 Tacoma chassis, complete with drivetrain, chassis, ECU and wire harnasses, but she won't crank.

There is no 12V at the connector to the starter solenoid when the key is turned on, so I hooked up direct 12V straight from the battery to this terminal, and she started fine.

I have checked the starter relay, and not only does it click, but it would start my other truck, so I know it's fine. Also checked the park/neutral switch, and it's fine. Also swapped bateries, and either/or would start my other truck, but not this one. The check engine light does not stay on once I start it with direct 12V to the starter, so should have no codes, though I haven't hooked up the OBD. Checked all the fuses.

So, I have no signal between the starter relay and the solenoid. The solenoid doesn't even click, yet she would start fine with direct 12V.

Any idea what kind of wiring issue I have that would prevent there being a 12V signal to the starter?

Thanks
Gary
