Getting the Wheeling Fever
I had a local 4x4 shop convert my 89 YJ from the Peugeot manual to an AMC 904 auto. I would like to know what jeeps had the AMC 904 3 speed auto.
I am looking into pulling a 93 Cherokee 4.0L with MPI and do a direct swap with my 4.2L with Carter BBD. Therefore I need to know if the 4.0L with MPI with drop right onto the AMC904
Thanks

David our question is will the engines swap? The answer is yes the engines are the same size and bolt patterns and will swap back and forth..
Any tranny that will bolt up to one of them will bolt up to the other..
