I would like to know what jeeps had the AMC 904 3 speed auto. I am looking into pulling a 93 Cherokee 4.0L with MPI and do a direct swap with my 4.2L with Carter BBD. The answer is yes the engines are the same size and bolt patterns and will swap back and forth.. Any tranny that will bolt up to one of them will bolt up to the other..
