biggest problem,is lack of maintance,the 4l30e needs regular fluid changes from the begining of it's life.

w/o known records,I would prefer a manual,plus with the manual you have a lower first gear and best of all "compression" braking while going down hill.

The auto trannies do fine if they have clean fluid and haven't been overheated.Most auto's don't backup real good tho' with stock gearing.
