How well does the auto trans hold up to bigger tires?

Getting the Wheeling Fever

I thought the Trooper autos were different than the Rodeo ones. I want to say Aisin/Warner 340 for the Troops and GM 4L30 for the Rodeos. If this is true then they are a MUCH better auto than the Rodeo has.
