Getting the Wheeling Fever

In the morning my 4runner doesn't seem to shift right. It is like it hangs in 1st gear way too long before it will shift up. I have seen some posts on shift selonoids. I am thinking that maybe this is my problem? Anyone know where to start with this problem? Thanks Ron
