A dual carb mani for the 2.6. Can you say "injector bosses" and "MPI"? Edit: Another source: Aussies?

I wonder if you could rig it to be able to shut one down on the fly for better mileage and on again when that extra oomf is needed. Seems kinda cool.

It won't work that way. Each cylinder is fed by one barrel of one carb, with no interconnection. It's a nice way to work it, but brake vac may suffer some, and the sidedraft carbs may not clear the brake booster. I think KevinC has/had one like this...

Suuure eddy, one feedback carb aint enough...you need two of 'um
I got a 100 ft. roll of heavy duty thick wall vac hose from a garage close-out the other day. Might be enough...

If I buy one, no carbs for me. Bolt on runners/plenum/TB and weld on injector bungs and you have an FI manifold, needing only a megasquirt and some tuning.
If I did carb it, I'd think long and hard about 4 90* bends and a pair of Weber 44idf's. The mani is flanged for Weber DCOE's and anything like Solex sidedrafts that bolt to the same pattern.

If you buy that style manifold the TBs come with injector bosses in them. Another option might be something like this per chance? ![[Linked Image]](http://www.vermontel.net/~dcma/W3020025.JPG)

Impressive looking, no doubt. But I don't see those horns doing any river crossings. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Hah! Maybe with those horns you have enough power to do 90mph Icelandic river crossings, where all that hits the water are the madly spinning supertires...
Yeah, I saw the ITB manifold option on the same website with the bungs, but bungs and welding are cheaper.
That is a nice piece of work, Charlie. I like the velocity stacks. I think if I ever get an MPI manifold built, I'll use some like that in the plenum. I hear you get a strong diff in airflow capacity from smoothing the inlet flow into the runners.
