Wow its such a good feeling to be through this, just thought I'd share a poser photo with you guys.

Before:

Its a 4" BDS kit in the front (Thanks Phil from Prince George BC if you are on here), Alcans in the back. The bumper is from Kennesaw Mountain Accessories (http://www.kenmtn.com), and Roger Brown (http://www.4crawler.com) solved my shackle issues. This is my first vehicle "project", and quite a learning experience with nothing but hand tools in my tiny little garage.

Still need to get a winch, solve some rubbing up front, and get it stuck (but we've only got 2WD amounts of snow so far).

I've been a lurker on this board for years and its been an awesome resource so thanks everyone.

33x12.5, on 15x8. Rumoured to be good in the ice and snow, so I thought I'd give 'em a try. For sure an improvement in terms of grip over the old A/Ts that were at <20%. And they are quiet enough on the highway that I can't hear them over the rust hole in my muffler , but thats the only comparison I've got. Oh and the power loss wasn't that noticeable but I think I determined at some point she's got 4.70 gears from the factory.

Body Damage is Cool
Great looking truck...

Maybe just an optical illusion because of the single cab, but I really thought those tires were 35".

Have to reiterate the sentiment on the bumper - looks great. 1/4" plate all around? Sections made from 3/16"? What's she weigh in at? How was your dealing with Kennesaw? And, of course, what'd she run you?

Thanks for the compliments guys.

The bumper is 1/4" for the winch box, and the rest is 3/16". There is also what looks to be approximately 2x3" rectangular tubing coming out from the sides of the winch box to meet the outer pair of mounting brackets. It has 4 mounting brackets - 2 to the original factory mounting locations, and 2 that line up with the end of the frame rails. I re-used the factory bolts to hold the bumper in place while I drilled for a 1/2" bolt through the frame rails. I plan to enlarge the factory holes and use bigger bolts there as well before I do any winching with this.

Acoording to the shipping documents, total weight was 190lbs including the wooden crate it came in. I'd have to guess 150lbs for just the bumper, took 2 buddies to hold it in place while I marked locations for holes. Price was 525 before shipping.

As for Kennesaw, I was a little concerned given some of the reactions on these boards when that name comes up. I called them up for some details, shipping qoutes, etc. talked to Kyle who was very helpful. They said they were very busy and estimated 12 weeks until it would ship which seems a bit long, but in all fairness they nailed that ship date within a day or two. Plus the shipping and customs process went very smooth. They called me with a few weeks to go, when it was cut out, and when it was finished. Overall I got a really good impression from them.
