Dave I hope some day you do buy a Sorrento and make lift parts for it because in about 2 years I was thinking I would buy a Sorrento lol...
They look pretty good to me from what I have seen, I peeked under a few. There are a lot of Sorrento owners in my area. They seem to have more stock ground clearance than the Sportage. I just wonder if there are any traction options like lockers or LSD for them, doubt it...
Another vehicle that caught my interest for the future (if I could afford one) was the new FJ Cruiser, I peeked under a couple of them and they looked like there was potential, and they have quite a bit of clearance stock. I have never seen one lifted, wonder why... too new and expensive maybe?

my aunt had one, they have a horrible blind spot due to the big panel in the back between the windows. she ended up trading it for a ford escape hybrid.

the sorento had an optional rear posi and Eaton WAS talking about a G80-style automatic locker, but i doubt that ever made it with numbers so low. coulda swore also that there was a front posi available for the sorento, because in Europe, i thought there was a kinda All Wheel Drive package available, but not sure.

few more Here ia 1 of the retreaded tire, so you can get a better idea of what they look like. Not very muddy, but it was slick, I was going through some rutty trails to get down by the lake. I had a guy in a full size bronco doing a double take! that place I go is deceiving, you'll see a small puddle and think nothing of it, and its 2 feet deep and very sloppy mud. Also with the snow on top it makes it harder to see where the deeper mud is (has a different look to it due to all the moisture in it.) there is 1 spot that looked like a nice little puddle, about 15 feet wide by about 10 feet long. I guarantee I would have been up to the top of the hood. it seems like it would be shallow, but I know better, I have seen the exact spot before the wet season started! and its in the same area so you just wouldn't think it would be that deep. like I said, deceiving!

Jaybur do you have a body lift? Your rig looks great, I'm planning on buying those same tires except I will probably get the Green Diamond version. I had some before and they were real good tires. I would still have them now if a stupid drunk hadn't totalled my car. I wonder if the tires would have been salvageable lol... if you didn't see the crash pics here they are: http://jerry.cleedo.com/crash/Looks like at least one of the tires god ruined but not sure.

no body lift. Why would you need the GD version? its meant for icy conditions.
wow, on the crash pictures! doesn't look like either one was salvageable. well I suppose the kia more-so but still looks pretty f'ed up. so how did that happen? you hit them looks like.
people around here think a stop sign is optional, I am surprised there is not more accidents. and its not just younger kids, its grandpas and grandmas, police. pretty much any intersection you approach you can count on someone either doing a slow-n-go or flat out ignore the sign run. I even saw an old granpda stopped at a red light, the guy next to him on his right started going, because he was turning right, the old man must have thought the light changed and he drove right through it and almost hit someone, and HE honked the horn!! no fun. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />
