dave that would make yours a 96 actually? as far as i have been told, when i worked in the stereo shop that any build date prior to sept of that year was whatever the year was and after september it is the next model year.

then splain to me this- it's got '95 model engine stuff, such as vaccuum, tps, and OBD-I...

it also does not say EX anywhere on it. it has the small chrome "4x4" on the door. i bought the trim after the fact and it NEVER fit right. no rear wiper, but had chrome door handles, power everything, etc.

and i heard that too about year designations, but every time they brought it up in the computer, it said "'95".

interesting, perhaps yours is one of the exceptions. i dont think it is an exact science going by build date.

for example the 09 corrollas that are already hitting the streets.
