Light Beer???? I beg to Differ Never had Old Rasputin.

Try some Old Rasputin or any other high ABV russian imperial stout, and you will quickly see how "light" guinness really is. i love my guinness, but it does not compare to 9-10% ABV russian imperial stouts.

Victory Storm King is another good imperial stout. Couple of those on a cold winter's night will warm you up.

Natty light is one of those dual purpose beers. Like, on a hot summer day after you've mowed the lawn. You're really sweaty and tired. You say to yourself "Man, I need to drink some water. But, I'd really like a beer." Why choose between the two? Do both by having a Natty light.....

Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

Guinness absolutely is a light beer as far as stouts are concerned. Its only 4% alcohol, and it isn't really that thick. Its a great beer I can drink it like water, and it tastes nice and mellow, but there are many better stouts out there that actually fill you up, excite your tongue and actually give you a buzz. I havenÆt tried Old Rasputin, Iæll have to look for that next time I am at the package store.

I can't drink any of the mass produced stuff (Bud, Miller, et al). Instant headache! Must be the rice or something. Guinness is my beer of choice, I can go out, toss back a few and drive home without worries. Yeungling Lager is my next favorite, but it's only really available in and around the PA area (tri-state) and for some reason it's down in Disney World too.

That looks good, real good. I'm old enough to remember when Beck's Dark was a real dark, truly imported in the big gigantor bottles with a wax seal on the cap. That was yummy stuff, served with a fork in the glass... The Budweiser Syndrome killed that, unfortunately.

A friend of mine that works for UPS Airlines brought out a bunch of growlers of Bluegrass Brewing Company Dark Star Porter. Good stuff.
