I'm very fortunate that I get to travel a lot for my job, and I've made it a point to hunt down local breweries & brewpubs wherever I go. The change in the market in the last five years is incredible, so much that most cities & larger towns have at least one restaurant that brews it's own beer. I'll support places like that way before subjecting myself to a restaurant whose idea of a microbrew is Fat Tire (not that there's anything wrong with Fat Tire). About the only time that I would consider drinking a weak domestic lager is after mowing the yard on a hot summer day, but I push the thought out of my mind & grab a real beer with some flavor instead. My rule of thumb: Avoid drinking any beer that looks like a urine sample.
