Mitsubishi recommends running the BG MOA with every oil change (and the 44K once a year) and that does seem to help A LOT. I have the '97 3.0L engine with the screwed up cam followers - Mitsu claims they made the blead holes too small - and had the ticking problem even when it was new. Dealership recommended using the MOA and that took care of 99% of the problem.
