I know it sounds strange but exactly that seems to be the case.
Disengagement of 4wd - as it finally occurs - is not soft and quiet as it should be. The corresponding sleeve in the transfer case seems to get slightly stuck or does not perfectly well and immediately move back to its original 2H position when disengaged.

Do you or anybody else here in this Forum have experienced something similar or at least heard of it <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />?
