Ive never actually heard the commentary on the Him vs 4 dudes, and that just makes it even better. I seriously want Mike V on my side in a brawl.

Ninja Edit. That dude is wicked crazy. He's apparently not afraid to fight anyone, or get arrested, or anything. He plain gets down on it.

I think Ive seen almost all the youtube videos on him now, and they are all good.

Hawk is still my favorite.

Hawk is absolutely bad too. But him and Mullen are on completely different levels....One has invented over 20 tricks on a vert ramp...the other has invented over 20 tricks on flatland.

Anyone see the Mega Ramp? That would be nuts riding that thing!

And of course there's this I think Aussie guy that kicks the ramps , but the ramp then kicks his right back. He ends up walking away from this. Knocks his shoes right off of him. The Vert ramp itself is 30 ft. tall.

And here are a couple vids of Danny Way on the Mega Ramp. He even jumps over the friggin Great Wall of China.

On the freestyle side Mullen is definatly one of the best. Remember Per Welinder? He was a pioneer as well.

Growing up on the central coast of California I knew a few sponsered guys (3rd street Los Osos locals ). I grew up with Frank Hirata, a short mexican kid that was in Bones Brigade and is featured in the video Public Domain. My cousin John Larson almost went pro as well. He could ollie trash cans and fire hydrants all day long.

Sam Cunningham, Ross Goodman, Steve Caballero, Tommy Gurrero, Jim Thiebeud, Lance Mountain and Christian Hosoi ar e few others I've had the pleasure of watching and/or skated with......now I'm fat and old.

Caballero is a fun one to watch too.

Not sure who a lot of the guys you mentioned are. I am only 25. Were any of them part of the Z-boys? Can't forget Powell Parelta(sp?).

Monty, you ever seen the movies Lords of Dogtown, and Dogtown and the Z-Boys? Pretty cool movies about the history of skating.

I saw that. I was a little after that era. My first board was a Santa Cruz Jammer.[Linked Image]

Tony Hawk and Caballero were the only ones that had thier own boards at the time and they were just starting to come up with concave boards.

Used to like Natas Kaupas when I was a wee lad. Awesome street skater. Streets on fire was a good video.

This all brings me back to when I was a kid. Did my share of skating but it did't go any where, I needed something that I could hold on to. I ended up BMX racing. I have been all over the contry racing. My bike frame was costom built by CycleCraft in Daytona, FL. I still own it and should probably get it back out (getting to heavy).
All those videos are making my knees and ankles hurt.
