I saw that. I was a little after that era. My first board was a Santa Cruz Jammer. Tony Hawk and Caballero were the only ones that had thier own boards at the time and they were just starting to come up with concave boards. It's amazing that some of those "old farts" are still skating strong as ever! Mullen is getting pretty old too.

As a vert skater (mainly because I sucked at street skating), Hawk was my idol. He managed to keep himself pretty clean (other than going through a few big hootie wives) too.
Cmonty, that's awesome that you knew Frank, I remember seeing some videos with him back in the day I too suffer from some snowboarding injuries after an unfortunate botched 360 attempt. I throw a football like a girl now, which my wife always enjoys pointing out
Also did my share of BMX racing, even won the points race in my class when I was in 4th grade on my Mongoose Expert Pro (before the started selling them at Wallyworld)...

Hey thats awsome. It was a growing sport back in the early eighties. And by the time the 90's came about it was a sport enjoyed by many. I started out on a Dimondback and broke plenty of them before getting an old Hutchenson. Man the thing was found at the thrift store, (we would hunt for parts there(a gold mine)). Ran the parts and the frame for a long time before out growing it. I Raced in FLA for some time and did very well. Progressing through Nationals and getting a name for my self. Once I had a frame built for me (By Cyclecraft) and hand delivered at the Christmas Classic in Culombus, Ohio (second floor at the Mariot)I even got to pick the color of the frame and fork, 93' Eagle talon Green. I got to choose all the demisions of the front and rear triangles, head tube and seat tube angles. Even added a wish bone for rearend strenth. Man, after typing that sort of thing. I don't regrete the sore bones. I hope this adveture turns out the same way. Without the sore parts! Iv'e been all over the country, sponcered, had the best of parts, loved by fans and ranked at something. The fun was there!!!

Right on, two of the most coolist films for time for the catigory. I always wanted a styrofome pit to do back flips in. But the board in gl.cube at the end looked like a real stiff ride but fast for sure. Hey, dok. What assosiation were you with( NBL or ABA?)
