They also did not test them in as ToolM said, extreme weather or conditions. Sure it is probably dusty and hot out in the desert, but what about water resistance? Like in the Top Truck Challenges Tank Trap...those guys sometimes use their winch when it is under water. I wonder how well the cheap ones would fair at that, or being covered in mud, or when it is really cold.
