I am looking into buying a 1992 4wd I4 SOHC amigo. I did a lot of research and I have a few questions.

I see ARB makes a front air locker for it, but no rear. How do you put in a rear locker in the 1st gen? I couldn't find anythign on that.

I see Teralow makes t-case gears for the amigos. I just want to make sure these fit in this car. Here is the link i found: click here

Also, what are my options to regear the diffs in this car. I want to be able to put larger tires on it. I don't want the engine to be working any harder than it does with stock tires. Any options out there to swap out the diff gears to make this possible?

Lastly, I found a 3 inch lift kit. What are the largest tires i could put on it with a 3 inch lift? What would I have to do to put 35s on it? SAS? Body lift in conjuction to suspension lift? Any thoughts?

Thank you for all your help in advance.

ARB makes a locker for the rear, model RD44. If you want a "lunch box" style locker, look at the thread stickied at the top of the Talk section:

Its not a car; but yes those t-case gears fit. You need the ones for the slip-yolk case.

5.38 gears are readily available for the rear axle; much harder to come by for the front. 4.77 gears are available, but IMHO not worth to cost for swapping out over the stock 4.56's.

Tire size depends on how cut happy you are. Don't want to cut anything, 32's fit with no mods. 33x12.50's or 35's will require fender cutting.
