How much does it cost to rebuild a V6 compared to a 4.

I need a V6 for my 91, the last quote I got was:
Vehicle: 1991 Mitsubishi Montero

Engine: 3.0L

Installed: $2,938 (Plus Tax) Engine Only: $1,822 (Plus Tax)

Needless to say, I didn't have it done and the truck sits in the garage and I walk to work.

Well, she is gone. Hauled it off after I stripped it completely. I took off the new alt and starter and returned them . Hehe, couldnt pass up the $250 for them. Took out the bouncy seats/inclometer cluster/wheels and tires/roof rack and bumper lights. Still got $200 for the carcass. I even sucked out the full tank of gas. I bought a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 9" of lift and 35s. So far, the Jeep has been ok but making alot of noise from the extreme driveshaft angles. Will need to spend some cash for the slip yoke eliminator.

Thank you everyone for all the help you have given me over the years on keeping the Bitchie runnin'.

I will obviously need ALOT more help from the Jeep section of 4x4wire in the future.

I bid you all good luck and keep the Montero's running strong!!

* * MY 1993 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE * * RockKrawler Long Arm Lift, 8" of total Lift, Garvin Wilderness Rack, Hella Lights, 285/75r16 Firestone Destination tires.

I think there is a bolt to drain the gas tank.

I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.
