So I just moved to Arizona from Alaska, and bought my first Kia. It's a 99 2dr Sportage, and I'm itching to get it off-road. I have extensive experience with Jeeps and Fords, but this is my first dirty-rice, and I'm looking forward to figuring out all the little quirks.

Dammit, what's all this metric shit?

Well, it's rice, and I intend for it to get very dirty! Dave, do you have a build-up thread somewhere for that beast? I'd love to see how you did some things on it!

Body Damage is Cool
Welcome. There are some simpler ways to get your Kia off road than Dave's monster. Dave also has a 4" all spring kit and I have a 1.24 front leveler kit and a front and rear spacer kit that can get up you up to 3" front and 2" rear. I can make mine anywhere from 1.25 and 3" front and 1.5 to 2" rear. It is impressive where thies Dirty-Ricers will go stock, give them a little lift and some good tires nad they are like mountain goats. If you want more info on my spacer kits email me at (upyourkia@yahoo.com).

Happy Wheelin, Dennis

95 Sportage, gone but not forgotten.
98 Jeep TJ, 4" Zone springs with RC Long arms, Ford 8.8", 4.56 gears & Detroit locker rear, D30, 4.56 & Detroit Trutrack front.
