Good day all,

have a easy question, I think, on my 88 the number one piston spark plug keeps going out, and the intake bolt on that same piston keeps coming loose? can I or should I use lok-tite? and? whats the torque specs? im lost


88 YJ, 4.2L, WEBER 32/36, On 33" Dunlop Mud Terrain, 4.10 ratio, tru-trac locker in dana 35...

How does the spark plug "going out" What do you mean? It backs out of the hole?
As for loctight on the manifold bolt yes it is Ok. My GUESS is bout 40lbs torque on a manifold bolt.

it turns white and stops firing , I checked the compression, its good still

That sounds like the mixture is too lean on that cylinder.. Could be a result of the bolt backing out and sucking air into that cylinder.. The result is the mixture is so hot it is burning the plug up.. REPAIR IT! Having an intake leak can burn both valves and pistons..
