Ok we need to start thinking up a meet up point for the sunflower mine/reno pass trip coming up I'm open to idea's.

Also for the on road part of the trip on our way to the trail(s) I'd like to have all the slow trucks in front and all the more powerful trucks trailing keven, toasty, me and so on, that way no one is left behind and misses the turn off. I'll take the lead once we get to the trail anyone have a gps still?? I've got my wells guide so with or with out gps we'll get there.

I've got a GPS you are welcome to borrow.

Just got an email from a guy in Flagstaff with an 89 v-6. Hopefully he'll post up here sometime.

Hope things are cool with you guys.

Well I got my montero running and driving this morning for the first time in a few months since the auto swap. I worked on it all night and finished it up this morning. Turns out the transmission mount i bought was way wrong, so i ended up cutting and welding up a temporary mount out of the 5spd mount i modified to hold my tranny up while i waited for the new mount. As soon as i got it running this morning i headed out to catch up with the other guys out on the trail, and the truck did great! The aussie gears worked fine and i didn't have any problems all day. I never did find the other guys they were hours ahead of me, they were up and heading out around 4 am and was up and working on my truck at 7am trying to get out there. I don't know how those guys do it, i wouldn't be able to enjoy my wheeling adventure on 2 hours of sleep . Well they didn't have the right batteries for their FRS so i couldn't find them when i scanned for them and there were very few people on the trail today and nobody had seen them. So i spent the day out on the trail looking and around 3:30 I went home, then after driving for an hour and a half and almost to my house, PA_JERO calls from the trail "I Popped 3 of my tires" so i went home (had to watch my son at 5pm) called around to find someone to watch him so i could go back out and bring some spare tires. Loaded up three spares into my '94, flashlights, water and highlift and headed back out. Met up with PA_JERO and LT, unloaded the tires (had to hurry Only had a Three hour window before i had to pick up my son) so then we loaded the tires back into my truck along with PA_JERO, and We'll go get his truck sometime next weekend.

Now back to the '87 I didn't really like how it rides offroad, my back was killing me after the trip damn leafsprings well we'll see if a bouncy seat helps.
It was also "different" without any lockers and that sway bar is going in the trash.

Lloyd and i have starting planing the Mitsu "Dirt Challenge" its a wheel long Utah trip in April check out my thinking about utah post over in the other mitsu forum its still early stages of planing but lloyd will be posting up more hopfully today. Oh the idea and why its called the dirt challenge is because we're gonna try and stick to only dirt roads between all the trails which will be starting up by Moab and working our way south. YEAHH!!!!!!!!!! WHEELING!!

When you say you're helping him with some stuff on the Montero, does that mean you're buying it and bringing it here?

(This is a subliminal message to Lloyd...sell to LordTrunks...sell...you don't even want that ARB refrigerator, either, include it...throw in the MileMarker hydraulic winch...and don't forget the remote...)
